News
It's a Wrap
With more than 750 attendees and almost 600 people watching real time online, the conference was a huge success. We thank you all for the support, and special thanks to all the speakers that delivered outstanding content. Read AkitaOnRails's post for the wrap up.
Lightning Talks
At 6:20pm in the first day of the conference we will have a Lightning Talks session. If you want 10 minutes to pitch about anything that has to do with Rubyconf's themes register your proposal at the Call 4 Paperz website.
Speaker Replacement
Unfortunately Carlos Brando will not be able to come speak at the event due to personal issues that he must attend to. In his place Gleicon Moraes, from Locaweb, will make a talk about Locaweb's Infrastructure as a Service to show the technologies and services that Locaweb provides for developers and companies that need Cloud based infrastructure. Don't miss his talk! Check out the schedule for more information.
Registrations are Open!
We just opened registrations on 07/10. Make sure you register as soon as possible. Individual prices are BRL 150, roughly USD 75. This is a promotional price that will change after 07/31, so this is the best time to register. If you'll be sponsored by your company, make sure you ask the person in charge to create the registration. After he signs in, he will be able to subscribe multiple people at once. If you need any support, email us.
New Speakers and Changes in Talks
We had some changes in the speakers roster and schedule, check out using the links above. First, Bob McWhirter would come to talk about JRuby and TorqueBox, but he will not be able to attend. But Toby Crawley stepped in to do the talk in his place. Then, Ronaldo Ferraz will also not be able to attend, but on the other hand 10gen decided to step in as an sponsor and they will send Tyler Brock to talk about Ruby and MongoDB. So our roster changed but became even stronger. Don't miss the details soon as they update their profile and talk descriptions.
Work in Progress
The site's content is still under construction. Proper speaker profile descriptions, talk descriptions. Keep checking out as we improve the site.
