Locaweb, troughout its history, has seeked to invest on events that generate knowledge and bring evolution to the internet market. That driven us, for example, to idealize the creation of Rails Summit Latin America, two years ago. With that vision, we also offer annually the Locaweb Internet Professionals Meeting, that hosted over 3,000 people in 2010, in its 12th edition.

With the success from Rails Summit in the past years, we can tell that it’s an event that’s here to stay. It was born in 2008 from a joint initiative of Locaweb and Fabio Akita, Rails’ evangelist and guru in Brazil, and now, in its 3rd edition this year, gets an “upgrade” and receives the name RUBY CONF BRASIL.

This change only took place because we got the approval from RubyCentral to use their name, besides their content support, due not only to the credibility achieved with the past editions, but also to the great audience that you brought to them.

The event will offer

With two simultaneously rooms, the event brings together developers in Ruby on Rails, Java, .NET and other open source platforms in general.

Targeting professionals with high technical level, the event is scheduled to gather approximately 750 programmers and developers this year.

Proposal of 3rd edition
